12 Days Vietnam Rail Tour

Day 01: ARRIVE HO CHI MINH
Arrival at Ho Chi Minh City, and transfer to hotel.
Free leisure the rest of the day.
Day 02: HO CHI MINH CITY – CU CHI - HO CHI MINH CITY
Morning city tour includes: Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, a lacquer ware factory and Thien Hau Pagoda. Afternoon visit - famous Cu Chi Tunnels. Dinner cruise on Dragon Boat Bonsai 1. (B/L/D)
Day 03: HO CHI MINH CITY – NHA TRANG
Breakfast. Transfer to Saigon Railway Station for the day train to Nha Trang. Dinner on the train. (B/D)
Day 04: NHA TRANG - DANANG
Morning boat trip on Nha Trang bay and the opportunities to swim and snorkel. Seafood lunch one of the islands in the bay. Afternoon is free to relax on the beach. (B/L)
Day 05: DANANG – HOI AN
Breakfast on the train, and transfer to Hoi An. Walking tour to the ancient town centre. (B/L)
Day 06: HOI AN – DANANG - HUE
Breakfast. Visit Marble Mountains, China Beach, Cham Museum. Transfer to Danang Station to take train to Hue. (B/L)
Day 07: HUE
Boat trip on the romantically named Perfumed River. Visits Thien Mu Pagoda, the mausoleum of emperor Minh Mang. Afternoon visit of mausoleum of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel. (B/L)
Day 08: HUE - HANOI
Free morning to relax. Transfer to Hue’s pink-washed colonial station for overnight sleeper train ride to Hanoi. Dinner on the train, and overnight on train. (B/D)
Day 09: HANOI
Arrive in Hanoi. Full day city tour includes: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Fine Arts Museum, the Temple of Literature, the Lake of the Restored Sword, and the Old Quarter. Evening - enjoy the traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. (B/L)
Day 10: HANOI - HAIPHONG – HALONG
Breakfast. 3-hour drive through Red River Delta to Ha Long. Seafood lunch on board. (B/L)
Day 11: HALONG - HANOI
Breakfast. Morning cruise in a private junk on the emerald green waters of Halong Bay. Seafood lunch on board. (B/L)
Day 12: DEPART HANOI
Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for departure flight. (B)
